Iranian Minister of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei arrived in the city-state of Singapore on Wednesday morning in order to boost bilateral economic ties as well as to conduct negotiations with officials of the East Asian country.
During the three-day visit, Iran’s Rabiei is slated to meet some ministers and top-ranked governmental and private sector authorities of Singapore to seek venues for further strengthening of collaborations between the two sides.
Rabiei’s trip is taking place at the official invitation of Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry S Iswaran who make a visit to Tehran early in March atop a huge economic group.
Meanwhile, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will also be inked between Iran and Singapore over trade and petrochemical cooperation.
Labor Minister Rabiei is accompanied by a number of Iranian fund and investment holding managers as well as secretary general of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce.
The Iranian delegation, during its three-day visit, is scheduled to visit various large industrial commercial centers in Singapore including the Asian country’s port, which is among the world’s three largest ports, Jurong East as the main center oil, gas, petrochemical and refinery facilities of Singapore as well as its social security centers and worker welfare funds.
