Tractor Sazi of Tabriz’s 1-4 loss to Al Nasr on Tuesday lowered chances of the Iranian side to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the continental club championship.
Ahmed Al Yassi and substitute Salem Saleh found the net for the Arab team in the first half of the match while Augusto scored a goal for the Iranian club 14 minutes into the second 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, Saleh and Khamis scored two more goals for Al Nasr late into the second half of the match to leave Tractor Sazi seeking a miracle for the upcoming encounter in Tabriz next week.
“We controlled much of the match and it was strange that Al Nasr only created four chances and scored from those chances,” said Tractor Sazi couch Amir Ghalehnoei adding “I have a lot of confidence that we will be able to make a good comeback in the second leg.”
