According to the Public Relations of 5th Green International Film Festival, 'Terra', directed by Yann Arthus Bertrand and Michael Pitiot, was screened on Friday during the opening ceremony of the film festival.
'Terra' is a 2015 documentary that chronicles the life on Earth from four billion years ago until today and depicts the relationship between nature and humans to raise awareness of environmental issues.
The 5th Green International Film Festival was opened officially at 6 p.m. on May 13th in Felestin Cinema after a 10-year hiatus.
The festival will also screen films at Saba Artistic-Cultural Center in Tehran, as well as in other provinces across the country on May 13-20, 2016.
The 5th International Green Film Festival of Iran is organized by Iran’s Department of Environment, with the aim of promoting the culture of environmental protection with artistic expression and recognizing valuable art works to increase public awareness on environmental issues.
