TEHRAN, May 14 (MNA) – In a message to Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah on Fri., FM Zarif voiced his condolences over the martyrdom of top Hezbollah commander Mustafa Badreddine, who was killed in Syria.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described martyred Mustafa Badreddine a passionate and courageous figure in defending the ‘rightful ideals of Islam and resisting people of Lebanon’, and in fighting against ‘tyranny and terrorism’, while expressing his condolences to the Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, the family of the martyred Badreddine, as well as the strong nation of Lebanon.  

He maintained that the martyrdom of this ‘tireless mujahid’ will further strengthen the resolution of resistance forces against the Zionist regime and terrorism.

In a statement early on Friday, Hezbollah announced the death of senior commander Mustafa Badreddine in an Israeli strike in Damascus Thursday night.
