TEHRAN, May 13 (MNA) – At Tehran Friday Prayers of this week, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani lashed out at American government for seizing the frozen assets of Iran in one of New York banks.

“For looting 2 billion dollars of Iran’s assets in American banks, the US deserve several medals,” satirized Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhed Kermani at the second sermon of this week rituals of Tehran Friday Prayers.

He called Iranians not to forget the ‘biography of the US’ as a government who ‘kills women and children, and refuses to apologize, signs a nuclear agreement and falls short of its commitments, who does not stay obliged to any international regulation, who shoots at a passenger plane, and who awards the one who has committed the murders.’

The grand cleric questioned ‘how the US, which claims to advocate democracy in the world, intervenes at internal affairs of other countries.’

“The US government not only murders oppressed and innocent nations, but also supports, financially and with arms, those who commit these horrific deeds,” the grand Ayatollah referred to US support of Saudi Arabia in waging war in Yemen and Syria.

He said that as the US adamantly supports Saudi monarch and Israeli regime, it proves that they are the enemies of Islam, and Quran.

“The US is anti-Islam, anti-Shia, and anti-Iran, because Iran is run by Islam, the US treats it hypocritically. At the surface, the US forms an anti-ISIL campaign, but de facto, it funds and arms the terrorists itself,” the senior cleric censured the American policies.

He condemned the double-standard behavior of the westerners at worrying about members of the terrorist groups who rush to Europe, and at the same time, not letting the UNSC to list those groups as terrorists.

“The US is a big liar, and it is a big lie that Muslims are terrorists, or connect those American-bred terrorists to Islam and Muslims,” said the cleric adding that, “they are not only liars, but also arrogant and bullies, who make and store nuclear arms, but prevent others to have the same right.”

Smuggling of goods was another concern of the cleric who urged the authorities to take serious measures against, as it may deliver heavy blows at the economy of Iran.
