TEHRAN, May 10 (MNA) – Three months to the start of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro of Brazil, 11 Iranian referees have been invited to officiate at the event.

So far, 87 days due to the opening ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics at the world famous football (soccer) Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on August 5, 2016, 11 Iranian referees have been formally invited to officiate at the event.

1-Khosrow Amini, Water polo supervisor

2-Ardavan Saheb Behbahani, Free-style wrestling referee

3-Mohammad Shahmiri, Volleyball referee

4-Mehdi Mirmoghddam, Badminton referee

5-Alireza Faghani, Soccer referee

6- Mohammad Reza Mansouri, Football linesman

7- Reza Sokhandan, Football linesman

8-Musavian, Handball referee

9-Kolahdouzan, Handball referee

10-Davoud Nematinia, archery referee

11-Hafiz Mahdavi, Taekwondo referee

“With talks held, it is hoped to have more Iranian referees and supervisors called to the event for officiating the Rio games, and so the number is expected to rise in the next months,” said the President of the National Olympic Committee of Iran Kiumars Hashemi.
