TEHRAN, May 08 (MNA) – Iran’s Khodayari managed to win a bronze medal at 2016 Asian Mountain Bike (MTB) Continental Championships in Thailand.

On the third and last day of the 22nd Asian Mountain Bike Championships in Chai Nat Province of Thailand, Iranian cyclist Farzad Khodayari finished third in the Cross Country Time Trial event to win the first ever medal of the field for the Iranian squad in Senior age group.

Thai and Taiwani cyclists won gold and silver medals of the section, respectively.

In women’s category, Iran’s Faranak Parto only managed to rank fourth after Thai and Japanese rivals.

Iran's team is directed by Slovenian coach Primoz Strancar and Iranian coach Mehdi Mirzahosseini.

The 22nd Asian Mountain Bike Championships & 8th Asian Junior Mountain Bike Championships kicked off on May 4th in Thailand and will come to an end today on May 8th.
