ASTANA, Apr. 26 (MNA) – The Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) that took place in Astana last week gathered 400 international politicians, and journalists to discuss the main issues on the international agenda. In session 4 of the EAMF, with MNA representative in attendance, the role of mass media in promoting peace adn fomenting conflict was discussed.

Speakers of Session #4 include Nurlan Yermekbayev, Secretary of Security Council of Kazakhstan, Aleksandra Barshevskaya, VP of Skolkovo Foundation of Russia, Todd Baer, Executive Producer of US Bloomber Media, Mariane Pearl, Author and Managing Editor of Chime for Change, France, and Sinan Kurun, Head of the Information Department of Turkey. 

The topics discussed include trends of disruptive IT in the era of pandemic globalization, role of IT in unfolding information 'battles', line between freedom of speech and responsibility to society,, role of mass media against terrorism, as well as information warfare in the leading global media.
