TEHRAN, Apr. 18 (MNA) – Iran’s speaker of parliament departed for Russian capital on Monday afternoon heading a parliamentary delegation.

“Considering the critical condition of the region and in order to expand trade and economic ties and resolving the regional tensions, developing the political ties is a need,” said Larijani on his departure at the Mehrabad Airport.

He added “the meeting is a unique opportunity to meet these needs.”

Larijani is scheduled to deliver speech in the meeting and held talks with his counterparts during his stay.

Speakers of Parliament from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic, Belarus, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan, South Korea, Russia, Thailand, the Philippines and Czech Republic will take part in the conference.
