TEHRAN, Apr. 17 (MNA) – Iran and Turkey signed eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreements on Saturday at the presence of the two sides’ presidents.

Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey have sealed eight MoUs and agreements in order to further bolster bilateral ties and relations.

Tehran-Ankara cooperation documents were inked on Saturday by senior officials of the two countries in the presence of Iran’s President Hassan Rohani and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

An agreement was signed in the field of social security, an MoU was also inked regarding a ban on unauthorised import, export and transfer of cultural properties, as well as an MoU in the field of plant protection and plant quarantine.

The two countries also signed in the field of higher education, another one between University of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services of Iran and Justice Academy of Turkey, an MoU between Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, as well as standardisation, conformity assessment and metrology of education agreement.

The Justice Ministries of Iran and Turkey also issued a joint statement of good will.
