TEHRAN, Apr. 13 (MNA) – On the eve of National Army Day on April 18, latest military achievements including tactical and reconnaissance vehicles were inaugurated and delivered to Army Ground Forces (Persian acronym: NEZAJA).

The inauguration and delivery ceremony of a large number of optimized chieftain tanks, sniper guns and different light and heavy vehicles was held on Wednesday morning in Tehran at the presence of Commander of Army Ground Forces Brig. Gen. Ahmad Reza Pourdastan.

The new achievements of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces’ Logistics include optimized chieftain tanks, communication node vehicle as well as a missile test station which were delivered at the ceremony.

Further accomplishments of the Iranian army include the optimized 7.62-mm Dragunov sniper rifle upgraded with new daily and thermal cameras, manipulated FH16 heavy truck with full restoration of wheelbases, ammunition conex container, 1924 cranes, 1924 water tankers, 3.4-ton Safir ambulances, Toyota emergency vehicles, diesel vehicles, Toyota cars as well as BI45 buses.

It is noteworthy that the 57-mm Bahman self-propelled wheeled air defense system which can be used in proxy wars, 5-ton Kian military vehicle, Shahram NRBC surveillance vehicle (nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical) marked other new home-made state-of-the-art military products on the occasion of the Army Day (April 18) on Wednesday.

The Iranian military honors the country's National Army Day by annual military parading in many cities of Iran every 18th day of April.
