TEHRAN, Apr. 09 (MNA) – The organizers of the 34th Fajr International Film Festival have announced the official selection of Iranians films both in competition and non-competition sections of the country's major global event in the motion picture industry.

According to the public relations office of the 34th FIFF, the Iranian films were selected by Reza Mirkarimi for Cinema Salvation (International Competition), and Eastern Vista (Competition of Asian and Islamic Countries).

In the category of Cinema Salvation, three Iranian films ‘Arvand’ directed by Pouria Azarbaijani, ‘A House on 41st Street’ Directed by Hamidreza Ghorbani, and ‘Breath’ directed by Narges Abyar will compete alongside 12 international films.

In Eastern Vista, ‘A157’ directed by Behrouz Nouranipour, ‘My Brother Khosrow’ directed by Ehsan Biglaripour, and ‘Rabidity’ directed by Amir Ahmad Ansari will compete beside 12 international films.

In addition to the six films in the competition section of the festival, 22 Iranian films will be screened for the international guests of the festival, including the festival managers, film buyers, and distributers.

The selected films are as follows: 'Life + 1 Day' (Saeed Roustaei), 'Sleep Bridge' (Oktay Barahani), 'Standing in the Dust' (Muhammad Hussein Mahdavian), 'My Brother, Khosrow' (Ehsan Biglari), 'Born in 65' (Majid Tavakoli), 'A House on 41st Street” (Hamid Reza Ghorbani), 'Blind Spot' (Mehdi Golestaneh), 'When Did You Last See Sahar?' (Farzad Motamen), 'Barcode' (Mustafa Kiaee), 'Sound and Fury' (Houman Seyedi), 'Cyanide' (Behrouz Shoeibi), 'Zapas' (Borzou Niknejad), 'We Will Not Get Used To' (Ebrahim Ebrahimian), 'Malaria' (Parviz Shahbazi), 'Mina’s Choice' (Kamal Tabrizi), 'Breath' (Narges Abiar), 'The Girl' (Reza Mirkarimi), 'The Stolen' (Bijan Mirbagheri), 'Muhammad, the Messenger of God (Majid Majidi), 'Duet' (Navid Danesh), and 'Sister' (Marjan Ashrafizadeh).

Other films will be added to the list in the upcoming days.

The 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival will be held from April 20th to April 25th, 2016 in Charsou Cineplex, under the supervision of the well-known Iranian filmmaker, Mr. Reza Mirkarimi.
