Talking through phone on Monday, Hossein Dehghan and Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov discussed the probability of truce and resolving the disputes through negotiations.
Dehghan, reaffirming the need for self-restraint of Baku and Yerevan, strongly recommended to resolve the crisis through peaceful means and said the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to help abate the crisis.
Dehghan also had a phon conversation with both Azeri and Armenian counterparts on Sunday, urging both sides to immediate cessation of hostilities and exercising constraint in coming to a common ground where differences should be settled through peaceful negotiations.
