TEHRAN, Apr. 01 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian re-vowed Iranians' support for Palestinians on the occasion of Palestine Land Day.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its support for the oppressed people of Palestine," said Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the occasion of Palestine Land Day.

The Iranian senior diplomat stressed that the crises in the region and terrorism cannot and should not divert attentions from the issue of Palestine, saying that the problem of Palestine is on the top of the problems of the world of Islam.

"Now efficient backing of Palestine and serious fight with terrorism are the two priorities of the region," reaffirmed Amir-Abdollahian.

The Iranian official described the Zionist regime as the main source of insecurity in the region and highlighted that Israelis' insistence on Judaisation, settlements, and re-identifying Jerusalem just increases the hatred held by Middle-easterners toward the usurpers of Palestine.

"It is our honor to defend the axis of resistance and the oppressed people of Palestine," said Amir-Abdollahian.

On March 30, 1976, the peaceful demonstration of Palestinians who were protesting Israeli regime's announcement of a plan to expropriate thousands of dunams of land for security and settlement purposes was attacked by Zionists and as a result six unarmed Palestinian civilians were killed, about one hundred were wounded, and hundreds of others arrested.
