TEHRAN, Mar. 20 (MNA) – Thirty pieces from the National Museum of Iran with the theme of Nowruz have been put on show in New Delhi, india.

Mohammadreza Kargar, Director of Iran's Museums and Historical Properties Office, announced the exhibition of a number of objects from National Museum of Iran in the Indian capital saying “the showcase kicked off on Friday and will last for three months.”

“All the objects kept at Iran’s National Museum are outstanding and so are the 30 items put on display in India,” noted the official adding “the pieces include works of pottery, metal and etc. related to Nowruz (the new Iranian year) which are being shown to the public in New Delhi together with some items from British and Hermitage museums.”

Dariush Akbarzadeh, a faculty member of the Institute for Cultural Heritage and Tourism, said “the most prominent pieces from the National Museum of Iran as well as British Museum of the UK and Russia’s Hermitage Museum have been put on show in two separate exhibitions at the National Museum of New Delhi and Indira Gandhi Center for the Arts.”

“The exhibitions have been launched in corporation with large universities like London’s University of Cambridge as well as some American universities including the University of California," he maintained.
