Iranian and Swiss officials of Civil Aviation Organization of Iran (CAOI) and Swiss International Air Lines AG (SWISS) met in Tehran on Monday evening and discussed handling services in their covered airports, said Reza Jafarzadeh, the special counselor of the head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization on Tuesday.
The meeting came after the very recent visit of senior Swiss delegation headed by Swiss President Johann Schneider-Ammann to Tehran and the strategy of Rouhani’s administration in developing transportation ties.
During the meeting which was attended by senior members of the CAOI, according to Jafarzadeh, the head of the Swiss economic delegation proposed the list of handling services that the Swiss can provide in their airports to their Iranian counterparts.
Ali Abedzadeh, the Head of CAOI is said to have welcomed the Swiss delegation’s offer and has voiced hope for later meetings and thorough discussions of the plan.
