He underlined the visits are part of Iran's diplomatic mobility plans during post-sanctions era to make maximum use of freed capacities.
Jaberi Ansari also noted Dr. Zarif’s visit will focus on economic and political consultations.
According to Freign Ministry spokesman, Zarif will fly to Indonesia in first leg of his East Asian tour to participate in 5th Extraordinary Summit on March 6-7 in the country's capital city of Jakarta under the request of Palestine to support Al-Aqsa Mosque.
"Zarif will further visit Thailand, Brunei, New Zealand and Australia," said Jaberi Ansari without mentioning the name of the sixth destination of the FM in that part of the world. Meanwhile, Mehr News Agency has been informed that Foreign Minister Zarif is also scheduled to have a visit to Vietnam which seems to be his sixth destination in this tour.
Noting that a big economic delegation will acompany the foreign minister, Jaberi Ansari said mutual visits by the same countries to Iran are expected.
He underlined one of the main priorities of Dr. Zarif's Asian trip is economic issues, the pursue of Iran's economic agreements with other countries and political consultations on regional and international developments.
