MUNICH, Feb. 12 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Zarif who is in Munich for a two-day Security Conference and ISSG, met with OIC’s chief Madani and exchanged views on the latest developments in the ME.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with the Secretary-General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Amin Madani on Thursday in Munich prior to sitting of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG).

Zarif had already told the media upon arrival to Munich that he would have important bilateral meetings, with his Russian and Chinese counterparts in addition to OIC’s Madani, before sharing the table at the ISSG.

Accompanied by his Deputy for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Zarif left Tehran early on Thursday, and analysts believe that his bilateral meetings in Munich are of prime importance for the solution of the 6-year old crisis in Syria.

The time for resolving the problem in Syria has passed, said Mohammad Javad Zarif upon arrival to Munich, warning the European and regional states and asking them to appreciate the realities of the region and the danger of the ISIL.

He had also underlined the necessity of expelling the terrorists from the talks as they attended negotiations under the disguise of dissident groups.
