TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) – Iran’s CBI governor met and talked with Guido Rosa, member of the Committee of the ABI Presidency for international relations.

During the visit of high-ranking Iranian delegation to Italy, the governor of Central Bank of Iran Valiollah Seif and a member of the Italian Banking Association (ABI) presidency committee for international relations Guido Rosa met on Monday afternoon.

The meeting was also attended by a delegation from ABI who expressed satisfaction towards the removal of sanctions and restrictive measures which had adversely affected financial, banking, investment and economic activities causing harm to direct ties between Iranian financial institutions and the European community over the past few years.

The Italian delegation reassured the Iranian CBI governor that they will put all efforts to accelerate the revitalization process of direct banking relations between the two countries.

The members of the association, who had travelled to Tehran last November together with representatives of 11 Italian banks in pursuit of resuming direct banking links, once again emphasized their commitment to supporting immediate and complete return to banking activities between the two countries.

Valiollah Seif, in return, appreciated the efforts of ABI in chasing activities related to facilitating the recommencement of brokerage ties between Iranian and Italian banks.
