TEHRAN, Jan. 26 (MNA) – President Rouhani in Iran-Italy business forum on Tue. said Tehran will pursue the same win-win policy in its trade ties as in its nuclear negotiations.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani attended Iran-Italy business forum in Rome on Tuesday and said, “the laws and regulations in Iran are reliable for investment. Iran has never violated its commitments to other countries and their private sectors.”

“Everyone felt that the outcome of our discussions is win-win and to the benefit of all involved; our gathering today is the outcome of the successful nuclear talks and the lift of sanctions that has provided the condition for investment, transfer of technology and targeting new joint economic markets,” said Rouhani.

Noting Iran is an emerging economy and has sufficient energy, the President added “our roads, ports, railways and air relations to surrounding countries are in such a way that have connected our country to all neighboring states. We have enough numbers of well-educated human resources and are ready to welcome foreign investors.”

“We wish to have at least 30 percent of our products exported abroad,” said Rouhani.

The President said the sanctions period had hurt the economy of both Iran and the EU, calling for expediting and intensifying efforts to make up for the lost time.

“If we really wish to combat violence, extremism and terrorism in the world we must first make plans for development and employment. Unemployment and underdevelopment creates troops for terrorists,” said Rouhani.

The President expressed hope that his visit and the business forums would pave the way for further and better economic, scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

President Rouhani is scheduled to meet with Pope Francis, following the business forum on Tuesday. He will then fly to France on Wednesday while heading a 120-strong delegation of business leaders and ministers.
