Alaeddin Boroujerdi sent a message, addressed to IRGC Navy commander-in-chief Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, on Wednesday to appreciate the IRGC’s conduct in the Persian Gulf; “Islamic Republic of Iran’s glory and national sovereignty could not have been clearly displayed ever than the IRGC’s wise and well-thought measure provided an example of the fact that the security of the Persian Gulf lies well in the hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said the message elsewhere. “It also showed that the US could not evade the rules of the game; trespassing of two US boats to Iranian territorial waters, however inadvertent, incited timely response by the IRGC’s Navy, displaying the glory of the nation.”
“Even more laudable was humane and Islamic dealing with US sailors which taught the world invaluable lessons, indicating that Islamic ethics in politics would behave more courteous than all would thought; the clear message communicated was that the Islamic Republic of Iran acts responsibly in a strategic region of the world, and that the hegemonic powers should not be deceived to their miscalculation,” it emphasized. “On behalf of myself and the Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, I offer deep respect and special thanks to the operating units and the command line for the success of the heroic mission,” it concluded.
