The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi met and talked with Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah in Oman on Friday afternoon.
Sarmadi denounced confrontational actions that jeopardize the stability and security of the region as objectionable expressing hope that insight and logic will put an end to devastating activities.
Deputy FM expressed satisfaction with the excellent relations between Iran and Oman; “Iran’s top foreign policy priority is to boost ties with neighbors, especially the Persian Gulf states due to the huge impact of friendly relations on the peace and stability of the regional countries.
Omani FM Yusuf bin Alawi, for his part, also expressed contentment about the good relations between the two countries deeming the continuation of regional consultations between the parties as important; “the main priorities of the region include reduction of tension as well as increasing security and prosperity to the benefit of all nations,” he asserted.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Syria and Yemen emphasizing the need to end violence as well as adherence to a political solution.
