ANKARA, Dec. 31 (MNA) – From January 8, Turkey will demand obligatory visa from travelers with Syrian passport coming from third countries, confirmed today the Foreign Office.

According to the authorities, the abovementioned decision answers to safety motives, since there was brought an increase of the number of individuals proceeding from Egypt and Lebanon arrested for possessing false Syrian documents.

Nevertheless, a spokesman of the Turkish chancellery told that the measurement will not be applied to those who are clearly identified like refugees, with whom they will be had "considerations for humanitarian reasons".

The cancellation of a unilateral way of the agreement of mutual exemption of visa, signed with Damascus in 2009, was announced by Ankara to beginnings of this month.

On December 17, the Syrian government took the same measurement and made responsible Turkey for the possible consequences for citizens of both nations.

The Eurasian country is one of the main routes of transit so much for those who flee of the war and the misery as for those that try to join the lines of the terrorist group ISIL.

Damascus and forces opposite to the Party of Justice and Development accuse Turkey of training, financing and to arm extremist groups that operate close to the border with Syria.

Also, the direction of this country is criticized for not assuming a clear attitude before the combat against the ISIL.
