TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (MNA) – The University of Tabriz has signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with Kazan University on scientific and educational cooperation.

In a session held with the officials of Tatarstan’s Kazan University, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Tabriz University Hamid Reza Qasem Zadeh said “The Iranian university is ready to cooperate with Kazan University in different scientific fields and is ready to accept the scholarships of 4000 MA students from Tatarstan.”

Talking about the university’s general policies in expanding international cooperation, he added that we tend to turn the university into an international one. Kazan Federal University has also launched the field of Persian literature through which cooperation can be boosted.

The fields of cooperation can be exchange of students and professors, joint conferences and researches, he noted.

Moreover head of the Kazan University’s Institute of Oriental Studies Azat Akhunov said that the 210 year-old center is one of the oldest universities in the county. It plans to be in the list of the first 100 universities by 2020.”

He added that the library of the university accommodates Persian manuscripts which can be used by professors of Tabriz University for research.
