MOSCOW, Dec. 23 (MNA) – The Russian ambassador to London, Alexander Yakovenko, deplored that Washington and the United Kingdom refused to exchange information on the positions of the ISIL and other terrorist groups in Syria.

Yakovenko confirmed that the proposal to share data on the coordinates of the military infrastructure of the terrorists was made by Moscow, but the partners rejected this initiative.

The diplomat informed he has recently requested the British Foreign Office Political Director Simon Gass to cooperate with Russia in establishing contacts with the opposition organization to the government of President Bashar al-Assad Free Syrian Army (ELS).

The ambassador reiterated Moscow's willingness to collaborate with all those who fight against ISIL, which he described as the main enemy while insisting on the importance of finding right partners in an interview with Russian satellite channel RT.

Despite the bombings, without UN or Damascus authorization, of the international coalition led by Washington for more than year and a half, the territory occupied by the extremist forces in Syria and Iraq exceeds 78,000 square kilometers, according to the risk consultancy IHS.

Meanwhile, with its air offensive and attacks with high precision missiles fired from naval units located thousands of kilometers in the Caspian and Mediterranean seas, Russia eliminated hundreds of extremists effective and destroyed more than 8,000 terrorists' strategic infrastructure.
