BAGHDAD, Dec. 15 (MNA) – People's Mobilization (PM) leader Hadi Al-Amiri warned Turkey today that continuous presence of its troops in Iraq would force a response and asserted that those militias have military capacity to expel them.

In a new speech, motivated by the invasion to the village Bashiga, near northern Mosul, by around 150 Turkish soldiers, Al-Amiri asserted that the PM units, mainly composed by Shia volunteers, are able to destroy all the Turkish forces.

He rejected Ankara's arguments that such deployment is included in bilateral agreements with Baghdad, and recalled that the Iraqi Government denied the existence of any agreement that justified the occupation of part of its territory without its previous consent or information about it.

The statement by also Secretary General of the Badr Organization was made during the visit to Baghdad by Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz to discuss the crisis, and the announcement that part of the troops from the European neighboring country withdrew.
