Marking the 2nd day of Polish Theater Week in Iran, the expo will be inaugurated in the presence of Iran's Deputy Culture Minister and Poland’s ambassador to Iran.
The exhibition dubbed ‘Watching the ghosts, photography of human bodies; Poland’s theatre through the lens of Magda Hueckel’ will open this evening accommodating 34 photos of Poland’s best plays staged inside and outside the country between 2010-2015. The expo will he held to display works of Polish directors namely Krzysztof Warlikowski, Jan Klata, Mayakovsky and Krystian Lupa to Iranians.
Magda Hueckel is Graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where she specialized in photography and set design. She also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and the Schule für Gestaltung in St. Gallen.
Iran's Dramatic Arts Center organized its first cultural week on Polish theater from December 13 as part of plans to hold such cultural weeks devoted to other countries to introduce the potentials of Iran's theater.
The event will involve several discussion sessions, educational workshops, performances and fairs.
