Addressing a meeting of a number of visiting directors of different Italian companies on Monday evening, Managing Director of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) Mehdi Yousefi introduced the zone’s capacities as well as investment opportunities calling for boosting of bilateral ties after the lifting of international sanctions.
“The Italian side expressed interest in building a port in Gas Field of North Pars located in the south of Iran in the Persian Guld,” noted Yousefi adding “the discussed issues at the meeting will be investigated by a joint commission before making final decisions.”
“The nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries has brought a bright future for foreign investment in the country,” added the official stressing “currently, Iran’s energy diplomacy plays a major role in the country’s foreign policy.”
PSEEZ managing director highlighted that the presence of reputable foreign companies will accelerate the development of infrastructure in the North Pars field.
A total of 177 companies, 20 associations and 12 banking groups with 370 representatives have arrived in Tehran aiming to identify and deepen the real prospects of commercial and industrial cooperation with Iran after the sanctions relief hoping to return to the previous levels of bilateral trade.
