"Today, terrorism has become a dangerous germ penetrating the region and the world," President Rouhani said during a meeting with visiting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, adding that the important issue in the international relations is to respect nations' rights.
Rouhani said the cultural and historical commonalities have provided a proper foundation for the expansion of ties between the two countries.
Underlining the need for applying all possibilities in line with the interests of the two nations, he said expansion of cultural, scientific, research, industrial and agricultural relations between Iran and Hungary is necessary.
"They should learn from each other's experiences in various sectors and pave the way to strengthen the relationship between universities, research centers and students of the two countries," Rouhani added.
Pointing to the pervasive scourge of terrorism, Rouhani said, "Today, the issue is the clear symbol of extremism and aggression," adding it has turned into a worldwide problem.
If all stand against the advocates of terrorism, fight with terrorists will win, said the Iranian President.
On the other side, Hungarian Prime Minister said that the development of ties in the fields of science, research and university provides the ground for the future cooperation.
Victor Orban evaluated his visit to Tehran and negotiating with Iranian officials very positive and constructive.
Regarding the regional and international issues, Orban said, "Unfortunately, there is no common and positive trend in the West to resolve regional issues through consultation and cooperation with major countries such as Iran."
