TEHRAN, Dec. 01 (MNA) – Deputy oil minister has reported on the return of SACE as Italy’s largest insurance company which is ready to offer unlimited insurance coverage in Iran.

After meeting with the 36-member Italian delegation headed by Italy’s Deputy Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda, Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir Hossein Zamaninia pointed out the history of cooperation between the two countries as well as eagerness to expand oil and gas relations; “the Italian side says it sees no limits on investment in Iran while SACE, the Italian Export Credit Agency, has announced that the amount of the company’s insurance will remain unlimited like the time before the sanctions,” he explained.

“Sace insurance company is supported by the Italian government and marks one of the largest insurance agencies in Europe and the world,” noted Zamaninia adding “the company was responsible for the insurance of many Iranian big projects during pre-sanction years and is seeking to resume relations with Iran.”

The official further announced the upcoming visit of an Italian oil and gas delegation in late January, 2016 asserting “during the visit, certain projects will be introduced to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) by the Italians.”

Referring to the Italian companies’ willingness to cooperate with Iranians in the form of new oil contracts, deputy oil minister concluded “Italy has demanded NIOC to introduce Iranian companies for cooperation.”
