BOJNORD, Nov. 28 (MNA) – Wildlife camera has recorded priceless images of a mother cheetah along her new cub in Miandasht Wildlife Refuge.

Images taken by wildlife cameras installed in the refuge by Iran’s Association of Asiatic Cheetah reveals breathtaking images of mother cheetah with her new-born cub. In 2012 images, the same cheetah is caught in the camera along with her 3 cubs; now the new images catch a glimpse of a fourth cub. No image had been recorded of this female cheetah since 2013. Minadasht Wildlife Refuge has been regularly viewed using wildlife cameras at work since 2011.

Currently, there are two mother cheetahs in Miandasht, the younger mother being the daughter of the older one. A total of at least 7 cheetahs now live in the wildlife refuge, including an adult male cheetah, which makes the wildlife one of the best and most important habitat for Asiatic cheetah endangered species.

The second stage of survey of the Asiatic cheetah population in the wildlife is underway, having been started September and continuing through November and December with collaboration of North Khorasan provincial office of the Department of Environment.
