MOSCOW, Nov. 28 (MNA) – The deployment in Syria of the most powerful Russian Land-Air Defense System, the S-400, confirmed on Friday that Russia armors the air protection of its mobilized forces in the war against the ISIL.

According to the decision of the supreme commander of the Russian Armed Forces, the system of anti-air defense S-400 was sent and is already operational at the air base of Hmeymim, assured Major General Igor Konashenkov.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Konashenkov insisted that the deployment of these missile complexes will guarantee in a more solid way the security of planes that participate in operations against the ISIL and other terrorist groups.
