TEHRAN, Nov. 14 (MNA) – Iran’s Speaker of Parliament sent messages to his Lebanese counterpart and SG of the Hezbollah to condole over the deadly attack of Beirut.

Issuing two separate messages, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament Ali Larijani condemned the slaughter of innocent people in the suicide bombings in Beirut and extended condolences to the Lebanese people and officials along with victims’ families.

I was disappointed to be informed of the attack killing innocent people in southern Beirut, read Larijani’s message to his Lebanese counterpart Nabih Berri.

In his message to Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Resistance Movement, Hezbollah, Larijani affirmed that the heinous act re-necessitated unity and solidarity in fight against terrorism and extremism.

Expressing sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims, Larijani also wished swift recovery for the injured and mercy for the martyred.

According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, at least 43 people had been killed and more than 200 wounded in the double suicide bombing attack on Thursday.
