The storage capacity of Iranian oil in West Karun area went up after the implementation of four new tanks each with a capacity of one million barrels of crude.
Accordingly, in the wake of sanctions relief and the plans to increase daily oil production and exports by one million barrels, a new oil reservoir became fully operational.
Accordingly, the project for making two 250-thousand-barrel storage tanks with a floating roof became administrative and operational aiming to maintain continuity in the oil supply of refineries as well as to store the produced oil from the Darkhoein oil field.
Other important features of the project include continuation of production from wells during repair of oil facilities, storage of processed oil to avoid interrupting the flow of oil refineries as well as compensating for fluctuations in production caused by unplanned stoppages of wells.
Furthermore, increasing the storage capacity of crude oil in various operational areas of the oil industry will definitely lead to increased sales and exports.
