Describing the new program to increase network stability of Iranian gas exports to Turkey and Armenia, Mohammad Ali Emam said “The first phase of the plan to increase gas pressure consisting of three electro compressors became operational in Tabriz in September.”
Managing director of Iran's Gas Transmission Company (IGTC) said the implementation of the new station has provided a natural gas transmission and distribution terminal in the North-West of the country; “Any volume of gas which is transferred from across the country to the North-West areas for export, can be distributed to different countries through the terminal,” he asserted.
“If the operating conditions are fulfilled, we will not cut off gas exports to Turkey unlike last year,” noted the official.
Noting the top priorities of IGTC during the post sanction era, Emam said, “The plan is to carry out gas transmission, distribution, maintenance and repairs in the form of outsourcing.”
Recalling that some gas transition turbines are getting ready for outsourcing, he added that the necessary plans have been made to carry out repairs and maintenance of pipelines and stations with supplying the required parts by outsourcing."
“The plan will become operational within a maximum of 5 years,” said managing director of IGTC, concluding that accordingly, negotiations with the main commodity and procurement-producing companies will be strengthened during the post sanction era.”
