TEHRAN, Nov. 09 (MNA) – Iranian surreal movie Atomic Heart, directed by Ali Ahmadzadeh, will compete in the Austin Asian American Film Festival (AAAFF), Texas, US.

The Iranian flick will be screened in the festival which will run from Nov. 12 -15, Texas state, and will also vie at the 16th San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF) in the US, November 5-14.

The movie, its third showing in the US, has been screened in several international festivals including the 17th Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival, the forum section of the 2015 Berlinale, Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) in Switzerland, 21st Los Angeles Film Festival-Film Independent, 39th Hong Kong International Film Festival, 6th Odessa International Film Festival as well as the 9th Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Festival.

The film tells the story of three friends on their way back home from a goodbye party. Following a sudden crash, they meet a mysterious stranger who believes he is not of this world and keeps reappearing throughout the film.

The cast includes Mohammadreza Golzar, Taraneh Alidoosti, Pegah Ahangarani and Mehrdad Sediqian.

The Austin Asian American Film Festival (AAAFF) presents the best in Asian and Asian American Cinema in order to celebrate communities, entertain and enlighten the public, and support the creative talents of Asian and Asian American artists.
