In two separate messages of condolences, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani offered sympathies to his Afghan and Pakistani counterparts and the people of both countries over the earthquake of October 26 that claimed the lives of more than 600.
Official presidential website released the news on Thursday.
In both messages Rouhani voiced the grief of his own nation over the loss of lives and properties in the two Muslim countries.
On Monday, a quake centered in the Hindu Kush mountain range, about 160 miles northeast of Kabul, struck at 1:39 p.m. with a preliminary magnitude of 7.5, and at the depth of 132 miles.
