TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) – Iran’s Secretary of SNSC Ali Shamkhani will leave for Islamabad tomorrow to hold talks with Pakistani officials on political and security issues.

Ali Shamkhani, head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, is scheduled for a two-day visit to the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad on Wednesday.

The visit which takes place at the invitation of the retired army general Nasser Khan Janjua who holds the position of Pakistan’s new national security adviser, will focus on political and security cooperation between the two countries.

In addition to meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, the Iranian senior official is scheduled to hold talks with other top political, security and defense officials on regional developments, fighting terrorism, border issues and defining executive frameworks to promote joint cooperation.
