In a meeting with Spanish Ambassador to Tehran Eduardo López Busquets on Sunday evening, Foreign Minister Zarif received the new diplomat’s copy of credentials.
Pointing to his early 2015 visit to Spain, Zarif said that the two countries enjoy good relations and have even better opportunities for boosting the cooperation.
Iranian minister underlined that Tehran and Madrid hold continuous consultations on regional developments, adding that Spain can play a constructive role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Busquets, for his part, expressed satisfaction for being commissioned to serve as his country's envoy in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Pointing to the opportunities for the development of relations between the two countries, Spanish envoy said optimal use of conditions would improve the cooperation in all fields.
