TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (MNA) – Iran's Research Institute for Cultural Heritage and Tourism (RICHT) and France’s University Lumière (Lyon 2) signed an agreement on archaeology.

The agreement was signed by head of RICHT Seyed Mohammad Beheshti and president of the French university Jean-Luc Mayaud.

Based on the agreement, the two sides will cooperate on exchanging researchers and experts in long and short-term projects and will collaborate on researching, archaeology, related interdisciplinary studies, history, the history of architecture and troglodytic architecture.    

Moreover, based on the agreement, a working group holding members of both sides will supervise the implementation of the contract, present annual reports and decide about future projects.

The contract is based on a five-year period of time and will automatically be renewed for another five years.
