TEHRAN, Oct. 13 (MNA) – Promise, a film by Iranian director Mohammad Ali Talebi will be screened in Cinekid Film, Television and New Media Festival in the Netherlands.

The film will be displayed in the 29th festival, which will run form 15- 23 October 2015 at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.

The Iranian flick won the Best Film Award at the last Isfahan Festival for Children and Young Adults. It also attended the Montreal World Film Festival.

It recounts the story of a boy coming to terms with the death of his best friend, for which he feels partly responsible.

This year the Dutch festival has dedicated a section to Iran dubbed ‘Discover Iran’, and two other films, besides Promise, will be attending including My Mother's Blue Sky, directed by Ali Qavitan as well as Behzad Rafiei's Ranna's Silence.

My Mother’s Blue Sky tells the story of Sara and her son Amir who try to safeguard their own coal mine and Ranna's Silence tells the story of a seven-year-old Iranian village girl, Ranna, and her chicken, Kakoli.
