TEHRAN, Oct. 13 (MNA) – 'A House in Fog', a documentary by Iranian director Mokhtar Namdar, is participating in the 3rd Afghanistan International Women’s Film Festival, Herat.

The event considers films made on women or directed by them. The 2015 edition is currently underway in Herat and will wrap up on October 15.

The Iranian flick won the Grand Prix at Srem Film Festival in Serbia.

The documentary was earlier screened at the 4th Iranian Film Festival in Czech Republic and also competed at the Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival held in Toronto. It is also supposed to be screened in a Romanian festival.

'A House in Fog' recounts the story of a woman, named Soraya, who lives a life of solitude in a mansion in a hilly landscape. The house is the only reason she tolerates all the hardships of living alone in wild nature.

The first Afghanistan International Women’s Film Festival was inaugurated on 8 March 2013, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
