The ISIL combatants are trying, for days ago, to move ammunition and fuel from Raqqa province, in Syrian territory, considered the second capital of this terrorist structure, reported the spokesman, Igor Konashenkov in a special dispatch to the press this Monday.
In the last hours the Russian warplanes carried out 55 raids on 53 targets of terrorist groups in the provinces of Latakia, Hama, Homs, Idlib and Aleppo.
Russia officially launched the air military operation in Syria last September 30 at the request of President Bashar al Assad. Bombers SU-24M, assault aircraft Su-25 and modern SU-34 take part in the attack.
A military expert told Prensa Latina that also helicopters Mi 24P and transportation Mi-8, and the multipurpose destroyer SU-30 are part of the Russian fleet in the offensive against the ISIL and terrorist groups in the Arab country.
As a result of this Monday's flights were destroyed at least 25 defensive points, seven command posts, six training camps and the same quantity of ammunition arsenal and armaments, added Konashenkov.
Supported by satellite data and information provided by the Syrian Army, fighters and Russian bombers also destroyed a convoy with arms and a mobile group of mortars (in Hama), attached to three hideouts of terrorists in Latakia.
The major general said that a considerable part of the reserves of weapons, ammunition, combat technique and fuel in the hands of ISIL forces have been destroyed by the Russian air force.
