Eleven Members of Parliament asked Justice Minister Mostafa Pourmohammadi to provide the necessary information to the public of Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian’s espionage activities.
The statement was presented during an open session in the Iranian Parliament on Monday.
So far, 4 sessions for Rezaian's trial have been held in May, June and July in the Revolutionary Court on charges including espionage and distributing propaganda against the Islamic Republic.
Rezaian, 39, was arrested in July last year along with his Iranian wife, Yeganeh Salehi, who is a reporter for The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi, and two other journalists whose names have not been made public. All but Rezaian have since been released.
He is arrested on the charges of espionage, collaborating with hostile governments, gathering classified information and disseminating propaganda against the Islamic Republic.
