TEHRAN, Oct. 5 (MNA) – The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization has announced Iran’s plan to increase the production of radiopharmaceuticals.

At the opening ceremony of the 8th International Iran Nano 2015 Festival, Ali Akbar Salehi underlined that “despite certain limitation Iran has made a significant progress in scentific development on the basis of international articles.”

Head of AEO said that ‘need’ is the mother of invention asserting that, “sanctions led our nation to become independent and to fulfill their needs through invention.”

“We proudly declare that we have made great strides in the fields of nano, bio, aerospace, nuclear energy and information technology,” emphasized Salehi stressing the need for Iranian scientists to strengthen their connection with the international community after the implementation of JCPOA.

The official concluded that, “a large number of radiopharmaceuticals are produced by Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency; we intend to increase the number in accordance with the international standards and prepare the ground for their export.”
