TEHRAN, Oct. 04 (MNA) – Chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Masoud Khansari has said Iran is ready to enhance bilateral economic ties with Romania and boost cooperation to remove barriers on the way of businessmen.

Khansari, who is in Romania with his accompanying delegation, made the remarks in a meeting with Sorin Petre Dimitriu, the president of Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania during which he said the Tehran Chamber is ready to facilitate their activities.

The Iranian official said the chambers of commerce of Tehran and Bucharest can play significant role in boosting trade between Iran and Romania.

Dimitriu, for his part, said the worth of Iran-Romania trade amounted to €115 million in the first seven months of 2015, showing 60 percent rise compared to the same period of time in 2014.

Cooperation in oil, gas, and auto manufacturing fields and production of agricultural goods were also discussed.

There can be some noticeable economic and trade cooperation between Iran and Romania, Dimitriu stated; adding such visits can help enhancement of bilateral ties to some great extent.

Heading a 20-member team, Khansari signed an MoU with the head of Romanian Chamber of Commerce in which facilitating trade ties between Tehran and Bucharest was stipulated.

He also met with the Romanian minister of economy, industry, mine, and tourism discussing bilateral ties in the post-sanction era.
