TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) – The sixth match of Iran’s national basketball team in Group E of the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship ended with a triumph over Palestine, 94-48.

The third and last day of the second round of 2015 FIBA Asia Championship began today morning with a match between Iran and Palestine where Iranians obliterated their rival, 94-46.

Mighty Iran ruled the game and the Palestinians clearly couldn’t match up with Iran in terms of size, depth, and energy.

Except for the beginning of the first quarter where Palestine could take the lead, 17-14, Iran outscored Palestine all through the game.

By the end of the second round, Palestine lost all their hope to gain a win against their mighty opponent, Iran.

Iran’s Hamed Haddadi and Mahdi Kamrani had an astonishing performance during the match scoring 29 points and doing 22 rebounds altogether.

The ‘game hero’ title was assigned to Asghar Kardoust who only played 18 minutes but scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help Iran gain its fifth win of the tournament.

Iran had lost to Philippines on Monday and was determined to compensate for their loss by this victory over Palestine and could advance to quarterfinal round.
