TEHRAN, Sep. 23 (MNA) – The 12th international congress of Anesthesiology and critical care was launched today morning at Niroo Research Center in Tehran.

This international congress is attended by deputy health minister, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Medical Council (IRIMC), directors of Iran’s Social Security Organizations, anesthesiologist along with CEOs of the Society of Anesthesiology as well as senior scientific figures from around the world.

Scientific Secretory of the congress Valliollah Hassani said at the opening ceremony that, “the international Anesthesiology congress will be held for three days with the aim of enhancing the ability of anesthesia experts.”

“A total of 350 articles were sent to the congress 200 of which were accepted in the end and 65 papers in the field of anesthesia will be presented electronically,” added Hassani continuing that, “it has also been planned to give 180 lectures on new topics of the field in the form of training panels.”

He further asserted that, “the veterans, scholars and researchers in the field of anesthesia will be praised and appreciated during this three-day congress.”

“The field of anesthesia has offered valuable health care services over the past three decades,” said the official concluding that, “currently, 4 thousand anesthesiologists and 52 thousand anesthesia technicians are offering relevant services to the people in the country.”
