TEHRAN, Sep. 22 (MNA) – Meeting Iran’s cultural attaché to Uganda, the marketing manager of the country’s Tourism Board said that several tourism Iranian companies will attend the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo 2015.

The Iranian official Ali Bakhtiari met Edwin Muzahura on Tuesday. The African manager said that the expo is held in order to introduce his country’s tourism capacities and communicate with traveling agencies, managers of tourism tours, hotels as well as other factors included in the industry for flourishing and improving it in terms of quality and quantity.

“Since the expo is an international event, so far some 10 countries have announced readiness to attend. The expo is indeed a great opportunity for the Iranians to present Iran’s natural, historical and cultural attractions.”

For his part, the Iranian cultural attaché called for improving bilateral ties in fields of tourism. He added that Iran is among the first 10 countries in terms of natural and historical attractions. The country, annually host thousands of tourists from across the world and we tend to boost Iran’s share in the field of tourism.

“The expo will be great for opening a new cultural chapter between Iran and Uganda”, he noted.

Bakhtiari added “Choosing the holy city of Mashhad as the cultural capital of the world of Islam in Asia and Kampala in Africa, in 2017, is noteworthy which will lead to expansion of bilateral ties.”

The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo is one of the annual events in the East African region organized by Uganda Tourism Board. Now in its second year, the event is planned for 17-19 November 2015.
