SANANDAJ, Sep. 20 (MNA) – Hiwa Aminnejad’s feature film Farewell Analog received the best film award at the third Duhok International Film Festival haled in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Amin Moradi, head of Howzeh Honari (Arts Center) of Kurdistan Province announced this achievement and said that, “during its first debut at a festival, the feature film Farewell Analog produced by Kurdistan’s Art Center was among the films in competition at Duhok IFF of Iraqi Kurdistan and won the title of the best film as well as the 10-thousand-dollar prize of the festival.”

The feature film “Farewell Analog” tells the story of a rural man called Kak Saee who buys an outdated camera for gaining money, but this camera changes his life and villagers’ life, too.

Duhok International Film Festival was held in Dohuk province of Kurdistan in Iraq on September 9-16.

The festival aims to showcase innovative films of high artistic value with a notable handwriting made throughout the world. It works as a pinnacle point for all wishing to learn more about the possibilities the Kurdish regions have to offer. It wishes to create an atmosphere of exchange between different cultures and human values.
